Images can get lost or disorganized more often than any other files. Fortunately, they contain a large amount of information, which can be used by specialized applications to sort them or to locate them instantly. PFind places a huge number of tools at your disposal, which enable you to organize your pictures and to locate them by their EXIF or IPTC information. You can also color code your images, place them in virtual folders and more.

PFind is free, it works on all popular Windows platforms and it is available in English, German and French. A computer with modern day hardware should not have any problems with this application. You can download PFind's setup file and install its components in less than a minute.

The program's interface is divided into multiple sections, which can be accessed via navigation tabs. You may import entire folders, along with their sub-folders, on the left side of the window. Alternatively, you may create virtual folders and populate them with images. You can also select a date, in the same area of the interface, to filter your pictures by their time stamps.

The imported and virtual folders, as well as the available time stamp filters are displayed at all times, regardless of the selected tab. A selected folder's images are displayed as thumbnails, in the lower region of the interface. You can also scroll through a list of the same thumbnails, in the Database section, and select multiple items. If one or more images are selected, you may associate them with a color, rate them or assign keywords. You can also make a few adjustments and view EXIF and IPTC information.

If you wish to locate one or more pictures, you can set up numerous parameters in the Search section. You can find images by their descriptions, photographer, the camera's make and model, assigned keywords, sizes, dates and many other criteria. The software allows you to type multiple details in separate input fields, but the best part is that it lets you decide to use the input fields for other information. For example, if you want to use a specific field for keywords, you may select this parameter in a drop menu, next to the input field.

The software comes with an image grabber as well. The best part is that you can use it to locate images, on any web site, by matching them to existing patterns of faces, in the program's database. PFind includes a huge number of sample images, for an accurate pattern or face recognition. You can also add your own patterns and web sites, if you want to. Another useful feature is the possibility of sending images by email or uploading them to a server of your choice, using an HTTP or HTTPS protocol.

Pros

You can assign colors and keywords to your images and rate them. The software allows you to search for images, using a vast range of parameters. PFind also comes with pattern and face recognition capabilities, which can be used to locate images on the Internet.

Cons

The large number of options may discourage inexperienced users. When it comes to organizing and finding images, PFind will satisfy your needs, beyond your expectations.
